Tariq trained at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) and counts Rodney Cottier, John Bashford, Penny Cherns, and the late Pamela Barnard among his most inspiring teachers. Professional highlights have included being directed by Sarah Wayne Callies, Stephen Surjik, Mairzee Almas, and Wayne Yip, and working with the likes of Katie Sackoff, Stephen Amell, Henry Woolf, Samuel Barnett, Christopher Newton, Dennis Garnhum, and the late Neil Munro.

Recent credits include voiceovers for Little Caesar’s Pizza (ongoing), Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, Another Life (both Netflix), and Unspeakable (CBC), voicing Paul on The Hollow (Netflix), Hoo’Far on My Little Pony, and stage roles including Praed in Shaw’s Mrs. Warren’s Profession (Chemainus Theatre Festival), and Paul Verral in Born Yesterday and Joseph Stalin in David Pownall’s Master Class (both for Ensemble Theatre Company).

He resides in Vancouver, where he spends much of his downtime in the great outdoors, doing light carpentry for himself and others, and working on screenplays on his bucket list – one, an adaption of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night – which he hopes to produce and direct.
